Contrary Polish - Sand

Contrary Polish Sand
Contrary Polish Sand

Contrary Polish Sand is a pretty mushroom shade with a slight shimmer of gold and a touch of brown microglitter. It's from Carrie's most recent collection, 'Ain't that a Beach'.

The polish is a little less opaque than I'd expected, this mani is three thin coats plus Seche Vite quick drying top coat. Application is very easy, the polish went on perfectly smooth. The pictures below are in evening light:

And I snapped a macro to show the shimmer and microglitter in a bit more detail:

In brighter light the polish takes on a slightly warmer tone, and looks a little sheerer too. These last pictures were taken this morning in bright sunlight:

I like this polish a lot; I'm a great fan of taupe shades as they are a bit edgy but still totally work appropriate :)

I purchased Sand directly from Carrie at her blog; you can also buy Contrary Polishes at Llarowe.
