Emily de Molly It's Just a Phase (over NARS 15 Minutes / OPI Who The Shrek Are You)

I couldn't believe my luck when I snagged this in Llarowe's recent restock. I know the Emily de Molly *Forces* are everybody's lemmings just now (actually I got those as well :D ) but it's the matt and neon glitters that really do it for me!

This is fabulous; bright red solid matt glitters in two sizes of hexes and bars; black in three sizes of hexes and semi transparent hot pink large hexes! You can see the transparency of the pink hexes in the bottle shot and on my nails.

I put it's Just A Phase over a contrasting gradient of NARS 15 Minutes and OPI Who The Shrek Are You. Whilst I love both colours, and they do work well together, it's a while since I used Who The Shrek Are You and I'd forgotten that it's quite sheer. It was a bit tricky to use for the sponge gradient so this might not be quite as smooth as I'd really like. But the glitter hides the faults in the gradients, so who cares! Also, sponge gradients are a messy business, and although I thought I'd done a reasonable clean-up, in the pictures my cuticles are still covered in yellow polish! Still, I love the overall effect and nobody is perfect. On to pictures.......

This is two thin coats of Emily de Molly It's Just a Phase with a coat of Gelous to smooth the glitters out and a thick coat of Seche Vite to finish off. Athough those pink glitters are big, they lie nice and flat on my nails..... and my nails have quite a high c-curve which sometimes makes odd shaped glitters difficult for me to place.
