Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Lychee - swatch and review

Barry M Gelly in Lychee
Barry M Gelly in Lychee

I love pale, creamy nude shades like this one. This is a warm buff tone, without any hint of pink. It's a little bit darker than OPI My Vampire is Buff and a lot less pink than B.Complete Piglet or Rescue Beauty Lounge Opaque Nude - I seem to wear these light nude shades a lot!  I'd planned to use this as a base for a glitter mani, but I liked it so much I ended up just wearing it on its own for a couple of days!

The formula is dense and rich, with lots of pigment. The effect is got is super-opaque and this is just two coats with Seche Vite quick drying top coat. I found that Barry M Lychee didn't self level very well on the second coat, but my SV smoothed this out like a dream. I really like the formula and opacity of the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Polishes, this is the second one I've used; I reviewed Papaya a few weeks ago.

I purchased Barry M Hi-Shine Gelly in Lychee at my local Boots. Barry M polishes are readily available in the UK at Boots and Superdrug or directly from Barry M's website. Internationally, Ninjapolish sells Barry M polishes and ships worldwide.

  2. This looks great on you - it's slightly yellow on me.

The Barry M Gellys are wonderful - I now have them all except, weirdly, Papaya! I can just tell that colour won't suit me!

    1. Thank you! You do, probably - they have some good colours and, in the UK anyway, are cheap and easy to get hold of!
