R&R Lacquers Bewitching |
This is the last, and probably my favourite of the glitter toppers I've been reviewing from R&R Lacquers 'The New Black' Collection. Bewitching is a mix of smaller black glitters and iridescent glitters that change colour as the light hits them at different angles. The makers describe this as a 'black opal' effect which seems like a good description to me - I have a ring with a black opal in it and it does have these sorts of colour shifts!
I think the trick with Bewitching is to choose a base that is dark enough to show off the iridescent glittters but bright enough so you can see the black glitter. Unless you only want the black OR the iridescent to show, of course. I used Tesco Barbara Daly in 'Night Sky' as my base - this shade is a reddish magenta with a slight shimmer and a hint of a duochrome shift.

Here's an out of focus shot to show the colour sparkles!
I was sent R&R Lacquers Bewitching for review; the polish is available at R&R Lacquers Etsy Shop. You can see my reviews of two other polishes in R&R Lacquers The New Black Collection in these posts: ELEGANT and RESPLENDENT.
I purchased the Barbara Daly polish from my local Tesco.
This is so beautiful! I really like the combo of the base you used with the glitter topper! :)
